Minister of State in PMO steps in solve to Koodankulam plant row

Chennai/ Tirunelveli, September 20 (ANI): Minister of State in the PMO V Narayanasamy said on Tuesday that he would meet the locals agitating against the setup of the Koodankulam nuclear plant in Tamil Nadu and request them to end their stir. The minister added that he would also assure them of the safety measures taken. Established in a joint collaboration between India and Russia, the Koodankulam nuclear power project envisages to build two 1,000 MW VVER type reactors by end of December 2011.
