20 lakh car for Poor MLAs: Opposition slams Akhilesh


Lucknow, July 03 (ANI): Cutting across the party lines, opposition parties today slammed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav over his proposal that enables lawmakers to a buy car from the Local Area Development fund. Earlier in the day, Yadav had placed a proposal in legislative assembly stating that lawmakers can buy a four wheeler worth rupees 20 lakh. However, they will have to return the car to the state government once their term is over. BSP leader Swami Prasad Maurya, condemned the decision and said that his party would rather focus on the development of their areas.
