Muslim organizations urge for peaceful solution


Srinagar/Jammu, August 21, 2008 : Muslim organizations urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to arrive at a peaceful solution to the controversial land row. The land row began after the Kashmir government promised to give forestland to the trust that runs Amarnath, a cave shrine visited by Hindu pilgrims. Leela Karan, President of Shri Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti, said, that the activists would burn the effigies of the central government for maintaining a 'criminal' silence over the issue.
