Solar Power lights up villages in Chattisgarh


Chattisgarh, Mar 9, 2008 : More than a thousand remote villages of India's central Chhattisgarh state have been lit up with electricity generated by tapping solar energy. This has been made possible by Chattisgarh Renewable Development Agency or CREDA, an organization under the state government's Department of Energy meant to promote alternative energy resources.
