Jagadish Shettar faces land de notification charges
Bangalore, July 12(ANI): The newly appointed state chief of Karnataka Jagadish Shettar has already landed in trouble, after a complaint was filed against him, alleging irregularities in land de notification six years ago, when he was the state Revenue Minister. The complaint was filed by social activist S M Chethan in the Lokayukta court, alleging that Shettar de notified 178 acres of land in 2006, misusing his post of revenue minister. The complainant also alleged that Shettar violated rules, which caused a revenue loss of Rs 250 crore to the state exchequer. Meanwhile, slamming the state ruling BJP government over frequent controversies, Congress General Secretary B K Hariprasad said this incident has proved that BJP is a non performer in the state.
