Over 400 Tibetan protesters detained in Kathmandu
Kathmandu, June 22, 2008 : Exiled Tibetans in Nepal have taken to the streets once more in protest against the passage of the Olympic flame through Tibet. Nepalese police detained at least 400 Tibetans demonstrators protesting outside the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu on Saturday. Many scuffled with the police before being dragged through the streets and pushed into vans. The protesters said China held the torch relay in Lhasa to show its control over Tibet.
