Territorial Army celebrates its 67th raising day
New Delhi, Oct 09 (ANI): Celebrating the 67th raising day, the Territorial Army displayed a grand parade in the national capital on Sunday. The Territorial Army, which is the country's second line of defence, comprises volunteers who are not professional soldiers but civilians keen to do their bit for the country. The event was held at Army Parade Ground and presided over by Indian Army chief General Dalbir Singh. Territorial Army was originally constituted by the British in 1920. Its soldiers, also known as Terriers, have actively participated in several military operations, both within and outside India, over the decades.
