Adventure lovers get adrenaline rush at obstacle race
Bengaluru (Karnataka), Apr 03 (ANI): Scores of adventure lovers and fitness buffs took part in an obstacle race in Bengaluru on Sunday. The event, which was held at Century Artizan area, was aimed at inspiring the youth to keep themselves physically-fit and mentally tough. The third edition of the Phoenix Project Wild Marathon, the most supreme obstacle course race, as the organisers say, saw participants crawling through mud, climbing heights on ropes, running on a five-kilometer track crafted with over 20 obstacles on a unique terrain among other fitness activities. Formerly known as the Alpha League Races, the event had military-styled obstacles especially designed by a team comprising Indian Army personnel. Nixie Race was also part of the event, which saw participation of children between the ages of 8 to 15, who ran a one-kilometer track with over seven obstacles.
